Koreografisk poesi = Choreographic poetry
Forfattere: Janne-Camilla Lyster
* The book Choreographic Poetry consists of eight literary scores for dance: poetic texts, written and structured to be read as dance. Choreographic Poetry is the result of Janne-Camilla Lyster's artistic research project at the Oslo National Academy of the Arts. In creating these scores, Lyster - both a poet and a dancer - has combined her artistic practices. The book also contains a number of personal essays on writing of this kind of poetry. The scores' poetic nature and stringent structure forms a series of curious and contemplative performance pieces. The artistic research project has roots to New York School. The 1950s/60s avant garde movement in New York, including composers such as John Cage, Earle Browne, Morton Feldman, musicians, visual and performance artists, choreographers and dancers, invented new forms and new collaborations. Methods often involved indeterminacy, chance operations, graphic scores and performer choice. Janne-Camilla Lyster (b. 1981) is a writer, choreographer and dancer. She has published several critically acclaimed poetry collections, as well as the novel «Mørke dyr», published 2018. «Choreographic Poetry» is her eighth publication.
